despite being a committed crawler, ewan has started strutting his two legged skills all over the place. below is a pic from his most recent trip to the Zoo. pat was proud to report that ewan walked from exhibit to exhibit all on his own.
ewan is not only the master of his gross motor skills but his language skills as well. he has a handful of words he uses consistently - mama, papa, dog dog, nana, ba (for ball), ffffa ( for his gma fee). he also has some hilarious sounds he uses for specific things - including curling his nose & sniffing when it ia time for a stinky diaper change.
above ewan is enjoying his "ba" on a rare warm (mosquito-free) morning.
ewan is also quiet adept at some "sign language". pat & I are so thankful that ewan is willing to help his clueless mama & papa out with his "signs". he not only waves hi & bye, but signs for more, books, music, bath, please, thank you, trees, play, help & cookie (signed often, actualized rarely).
below ewan is letting me know he is "all done" with me taking his picture.
and finally this week ewan has really started interacting with his beloved books. this is truly amazing to me. we can ask him where the cat, dog, tree, car, etc. is on a busy page & he can point them out!
now I do not want anyone reading this to think I think ewan is some sort of super-kid - I just think he is our super-kid!!!!
