we shared our home with others for over three months! with my mom staying with us to do a chaplain internship, we also hosted my brother & his family, my dad x2, my sis, pat's brother, my best friend & her family AND pat's BFF & his wife on occasion- wow! we camped the Olympic peninsula, enjoyed the farmer's market, explored Vancouver & even went whale watching! needless to say, we have a lot of catch-up to do & a lot of pictures to share.
the catch-up will have to wait a little while though. with several "use it or lose it" vacation days approaching expiration, september is filled with many "no work days". & with these unexpected days, our little family is having summer in september. & the weather is kindly obliging!
for our 1st september adventure we headed east to enjoy a long long labor day weekend. we packed up the car & headed for glacier national park in montana. all I can say is - wow! the park was amazing! the beauty was endless (many more photos to come) & so were the critters!

we saw...
mountain goats, crickets, a snake, chippies, marmots, a bear (a little too close), a moose (also impressively close), butterflies, birds and (my absolute favorite) a big horn sheep. oh & of course E's new friend, ding the giraffe, was also spotted from time to time.
we had an amazing weekend enjoying the incredible landscape & each other!
