on the road

so we are headed east...

seems like just yesterday we were headed west. it is amazing to think all that we have done in three years - I completed my pediatric residency, pat redesigned a failing financial system, we learned to kayak, I learned to ski, we explored the Olympic penninsula, Tokyo, the big island of Hawaii, and more! and of course we had little ewan - quite the Seattle souvenir!

it is with great sadness that we are leaving the beautiful pacific northwest.

the amazing thing about the moving process though is how numbing it can be. after 5 days of packing we were actually looking forward to heading out. here is where I must give a huge shout out to Jason - he came down from Vancouver to help us pack up - THANK YOU JASON - without home we would still be in Seattle with a half packed house & 3 empty relocubes!

so here is ewan enjoying the shade @ a rest stop 2 hours east of Seattle. he is all smiles for now! we look a little bit like we are travelling by clown car - with cat, dog, papa, mama, babe @ a whole bunch of bags!

luckily we have a few special stops planned to visit family & friends along the way. this should help us maintain our sanity!
