not a bad day

after being an exquisitely patient boy over the past week, ewan spent a pretty nice day getting to know our new town. with our rental application in the "processing" phase, we got to enjoy a day free of house hunting & filled with ewan-cetered activities.

wondering what the ideal ewan day involves?

well... the day has to begin with a yogurt ("roh roh") - a longstanding E favorite.


today's yogurt was served up hotel style - as a coffee table buffet.

then we went to a very special store. today E got to browse the bellingham REI & he got his first rain jacket. now he is an official pacific northwest native by birth right & attire.

then it was off to padden lake for a picnic lunch, a frolick for the murph-dog & SWINGS!


if our application is approved, we will be living less than a mile from padden lake - it is quite lovely.


later in the day, with beautiful weather & no real place to live, we decided to check out a the zuanich point park in squalicum harbor overlooking the belligham bay. mount baker was hiding behind the clouds, but we had views of the olympic mountains. & just so you do not think that we forgot about our boy... there was a playground... & it is shaped like a boat!
