our day started at 5:00 am pacific time. we spent the night with friends in Seattle the night before - hoping to simply the journey a bit. we flew from Seattle to Honolulu. as always E was a champ. ridiculously resistent to sleep. but quite happy to do sticker pages, play trucks & snack - his trusty blankie & binky were also essential to our success. after a lay over in Honolulu, we took a brief flight to Kauai. we were only in the air long enough to share a complimentary guava juice (or as E called it "smoothie juice").
we did have a luggage snafu - which was made right by an anonymous someone paying for our dinner at pizzetta in old kaloa village - it was a little strange - something about paying it forward - but needless to say, we accepted a free meal
